Salary – Clerk Grade 5/6 $97,027 - $107,059pa plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Project Officer to join our dynamic Maintenance Strategy and Projects team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing and implementing a variety of projects within the Housing Portfolio, aimed at improving service delivery and enhancing portfolio performance. You will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that impact the housing sector and the wider community.
What you’ll do
As part of the Maintenance Strategy and Projects team, you will Assist in managing and delivering projects that drive improvements across the Housing Portfolio. You’ll coordinate the operational aspects of project implementation, managing tasks and deliverables. You will oversee the delivery of maintenance services such as scoping, compliance inspections and work order management.
The purpose of this role is to undertake and report on field inspection activities/outcomes to scope and monitor the delivery of work and verify contractor compliance with maintenance contract requirements.
You will conduct research and analysis to support the development and implementation of key projects across the Housing Portfolio as well as help manage projects focused on improving service delivery effectiveness and operational efficiency.
You will provide stakeholders with timely advice and communication regarding project status, implementation issues, and potential solutions.
You will assist in preparing project-related documentation, status updates and reports.
What we’re looking for
- Understanding of the Australian Building Codes, Australian Standards, Government, or commercial probity and contracting standards.
- Relevant qualification and/or sound construction building maintenance and/or building construction experience/exposure, together with field inspection experience and measurement of performance against standards.
- Extensive experiences and knowledge of residential property maintenance and improvements.
- Scoping experience – desirable
- Valid and current NSW driver’s licence.
- Desirable – experience in compliance inspections of building essential services.
Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting emerging issues to management and providing recommendations to continually enhance asset program delivery and minimise impacts.
