Director, Courts and Tribunals Digital Priorities

 

  • Based in Sydney CBD and Parramatta – hybrid and flexible working arrangements may be available
  • Temporary 12-month PSSE Band 1 position with possibility of conversion to ongoing  
  • $239,483 to $263,586 total remuneration payable

Your role

The Director, Courts and Tribunals Digital Priorities, is responsible for identifying and delivering digital initiatives to support the strategic priorities and business improvement outcomes of NSW courts and tribunals. The role works collaboratively with business areas to leverage technology opportunities, enhance customer experience and improve operations. 

 

What you’ll do
While identifying and delivering digital projects and programs to ensure NSW courts and tribunals are prepared for the digital future you will also:

  • Design and implement digital strategies and roadmaps to enhance service delivery across courts and tribunals.
  • Provide advice and develop business cases to prioritise and guide digital investment.
  • Integrate Human-Centred Design, Service Design and Agile Methodologies into the scoping, planning, and delivery of projects to meet strategic goals and prioritise user needs. 
  • Encourage innovative thinking and new ways of working to drive operational efficiency and business excellence.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximise opportunities and innovation.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators to evaluate the success and impact of digital initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and return on investment.
  • Guide and support your team to ensure optimal service delivery, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams, fostering improvement and wellbeing.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, continuous improvement and support professional development.
  • Stay updated on emerging digital technologies and methodologies to drive innovation.
  • Communicate technical ideas clearly to non-technical audiences.

What we’re looking for

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a discipline relative to the role or recognised equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience managing digital projects and/or programs with investment from $10M+ across large and/or complex organisations.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering digital projects and/or programs that have achieved significant benefits.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives, project sponsors, and team members.
  • Experience managing delivery across both Waterfall and Agile delivery models.
  • Experience managing contingent workforce and external service providers.
