Classification grade: Clerk Grade: 11/12

Salary: $145,378 - $168,130 p.a. base salary (annual leave loading and superannuation are paid in addition to the base salary)

Work type: Temporary 12 months with a possibility of extension or conversion to ongoing, full-time (35 hours per week)  

 

About the role

The Crown Solicitor's Office (CSO) is seeking a Manager of Legal Operations to lead the operational and legal support services within the agency.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless delivery of legal and operational services to support various Legal Practice groups. The Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing best practice frameworks, procedures, and reporting processes that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

In this position, you will partner with executive leadership to design and implement legal operations that align with the agency's strategic goals. You will lead initiatives to enhance operations and client experience, while also managing a team of legal operations and support staff.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing the allocation of resources, providing operational direction, and ensuring that high standards of service delivery are maintained.

Additionally, you will manage organisational facilities, security and threat management and procurement arrangements to support ongoing operational needs.

Essential requirements  

  • Demonstrated business planning, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience providing leadership and expert advice in a legal or professional services environment characterised by conflicting priorities and multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience leading a large team in the provision of high-quality administrative support in a professional services environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in legal, business management or in a related discipline, and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Sound knowledge of NSW Public Sector legal service delivery practices along with the relevant legislation that govern the operations of the agency, or the capacity to acquire such knowledge within a reasonable period.
