Project Manager IT – NSW Trustee and Guardian
- Temporary full-time vacancy (12 months) with the possibility of extension. 35 hours per week.
- Location: Sydney CBD. Flexible and hybrid working options available.
- Clerk Grade: 9/10. Salary $125,693 to $138,510 plus super and annual leave loading.

About the team
The Project Delivery team plays a vital role in supporting the Director of Information and Technology by leading the efficient management of strategic initiatives that often require cross-divisional collaboration. The team is responsible for facilitating support and coordination for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), while planning, executing, and delivering key technology projects that drive innovation, improve service delivery, and enhance operational excellence across the organisation.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Project Delivery, this role will develop, manage, and implement a range of projects within NSW Trustee and Guardian, to support and improve IT service delivery.
In this role, you will:
- Ensure successful execution of complex IT projects from initiation to completion.
- Manage the key project levers including, scope, schedule, budget, quality of deliverables, risks and issues, as well as resources and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a range of project related documents as required, including Project Brief document, Business case, Project Management Plan, Project Closure report, Status reports, RAIDD registers (Risk, Action, Issue, Dependency, Decision), and project schedule.
- Undertake research and analysis to support the development of key projects within NSW Trustee and Guardian.
- Manage projects designed to review, monitor and improve the effectiveness of service delivery within NSW Trustee and Guardian.
- Provide timely advice and communication to key stakeholders across within NSW Trustee and Guardian regarding project status and implementation issues.
- Provide high level advice and support to project team members in undertaking tasks and implementing project plans as required.
- Contributes to the development and improvement of project management methodologies and processes for NSW Trustee and Guardian.

About you
Working as part of a collaborative ICT team in a dynamic and results-driven environment, you will have extensive proven experience with IT project management. The ideal candidate possesses and can demonstrate:
- Proven experience in implementing and improving large-scale software solutions, effectively managing complex projects, handling competing pressures, and assessing risks.
- Experience in strategic and innovative project management and extensive knowledge of project management methodologies (waterfall, agile, or hybrid), standards, and processes, and understanding of how they are applied.
- The ability to effectively manage key aspects of projects, including scope, time, dependencies, risks, budget, resources, and quality.
- Solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills within a dynamic business environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration, as well as the ability to lead and motivate project teams to achieve project deliverables.
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a related field.
