Clerk Grade 7/8 Salary ($110,266 - $122,058 per annum) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the Role
As the Project Officer, you will:

Provide project management and administrative support to ensure timely delivery of key disaster recovery and readiness initiatives.

Lead the development of Natural Disaster Declarations, engaging with councils and emergency agencies and preparing supporting documentation.

Support the planning and facilitation of recovery exercises, including convening planning groups and compiling materials.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Recovery Surge capability.

Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation for tracking, reporting, and evaluation purposes, including reports, brief and presentations.

Conduct research, data analysis and stakeholder engagement to support informed project decisions and reporting.

About You
To excel in this role, you will possess the following attributes:

Proven ability to work independently and deliver results under pressure and within tight timeframes.

Strong understanding of project management principles and experience applying them in complex environments.

Knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire, the National Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements and Natural Disaster Declarations.

Knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire best practice in disaster recovery exercise development and facilitation.
-
Skilled in communicating complex information clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders.
-
Awareness of contemporary disaster and emergency recovery principles and practices.

About the Agency
The NSW Reconstruction Authority (RA) is an executive agency of the Premier’s Department. The RA will improve how NSW plans for disasters and help communities to recover from them faster.
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the RA will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, NGOs, businesses, and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities, and other stakeholders.
