Are you a current law student or graduate? We are pro-actively creating a register of candidates interested in Paralegal opportunities at the CSO. Applications are invited from high achieving law students who have completed the second year of a Law Degree and are seeking practical experience within a legal office. We are currently in the process of collecting a list of individuals who are interested in potential future opportunities within our organization. At this stage, there may not be specific vacancies available. Salary Classification: Clerk General Scale (Base Salary of $53,168 to $57,821 (remuneration package valued up to $64,667)

Employment Status: Temporary Employment

 

An exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience working for the largest provider of legal services to the NSW Government and its agencies. Applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, have an eye for detail and accuracy, have good technology skills and be able to work in a team-based environment.

About the role:

As a paralegal at the CSO, you will be responsible for providing legal and administrative support to a practice group’s solicitors and other team members to contribute to and support the efficient and effective delivery of legal services.

 

Essential requirements: 

  • Completion of the second year of a Law Degree. 

Being vaccinated with two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine and providing evidence of that vaccination prior to commencing duty at the Crown Solicitor’s Office is a condition of employment unless you are unable to be vaccinated because of a medical contraindication. (Note: COVID-19 vaccine means a vaccine approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration of the Commonwealth for use as a vaccine against COVID-19)
