Employment Type – 1 x Ongoing, Full-Time roles
Salary – $138,797 pa + Superannuation + Annual Leave Loading
Your Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Manager who is a logical and strategic thinker, with robust trade and business management experience within the Furniture, Laundry, Food Production & Manufacturing Industries.
As part of this role, the successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the activities of the Business Unit to ensure productivity, efficiency and other commercial objectives are achieved. You will need to maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and staff as well as assist with business development.
The role requires:
- Supervision and management of staff and inmates by appraising performance of business unit and offering counsel and feedback to ensure that the organisational outcomes are archived
- Strong time management and computer skills
- Experience working in a high-pressure environment and managing to deliver key business objectives within set timeframes
- Willingness to work across all trade units as required
- Manage resources and budget efficiently and effectively to achieve planned outcomes by business units
- Maintaining duty of care and complying with WHS safety requirements are being met by sustaining a safe work environment for staff, inmates, contractors and visitors
What we’re looking for
As a standout candidate you will have:
- Experience which demonstrated the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the role description
- Proven managerial experience
- Proven understanding of Commercial systems and their application
- Experience in the use of Business Management Systems, such as WHS, Quality Management, Pronto, Microsoft Office etc
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Certificate III Trade Qualification: Carpentry, Cabinet Making, Food Production, Laundry or manufacturing/construction related trades
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, or willingness to undertake this training
- Tertiary qualifications in management desirable, but not essential
- Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or willingness to obtain within set timeframes by CSNSW
- Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role.
