Salary$139,787.00 - $154,840.00pa, plus incidental allowance, superannuation, and annual leave loading.

Position Type: Ongoing Permanent – Full Time

Location: Wellington Correctional Complex

 

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager that is a logical and strategic thinker with extensive facilities management experience. In this role you will be responsible for the management of facilities maintenance operations at Wellington Correctional Complex, along with providing oversight and guidance to multiple Western region correctional centre based facilities maintenance operations (role is based at Wellington Correctional Complex). A key focus of this role will be around managing commercial outcomes of CSI Maintenance as well as, maintaining key relationships between senior managers across Department of Communities & Justice and external stakeholders.

 

About you 

 

 To be successful in this role you will have:

 

  • Proven experience in high level management and providing ongoing development and support to your team
  • Proven experience in Construction and/or Facilities Maintenance
  • Experience working in a high-pressure environment and managing to deliver key business objectives within set timeframes

 

Essential requirements

 

  • Relevant qualification in Management and Construction or Facilities Maintenance
  • Current NSW driver license and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role
  • Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice in accordance with specified CSNSW timeframes.
  • It is an essential requirement of the role that successful applicants are fully vaccinated and able to provide acceptable proof of vaccination status.

Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce the risk of re-offending and enhance public safety. It serves a key function of the NSW Communities and Justice Sector by providing effective, safe and humane management of offenders both in custody and in the community CSNSW also works in partnership with other government and community agencies to ensure that offenders and their families are supported.

Corrective Services NSW employs trade Overseers, Senior Overseers and Managers in Corrective Services Industries (CSI) providing inmates in correctional centres with vocational training in service and commercial industries to improve their employment opportunities when they are released from custody. Employment is a proven factor in reducing the risk of re-offending.
