Salary – $88,178 pa + Incidental Allowance + Superannuation + Leave Loading

 

Your Role
 

We are currently sourcing a trade qualified candidate for the Ground Maintenance/ Hygiene Overseer position at Wellington Correctional Centre. As part of this role, you must have experience in most of the following trades – Horticulture, Agriculture, Landscaping (Parks and Gardens) and/or Cleaning Operations.
 

As the standout candidate for this role, you will have outstanding communication skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethics and integrity in line with CSI core values to train and supervise inmates, Quality control / inspection responsibilities and ensuring compliance. You are also required to have good computer knowledge, show strong resilience and have robust time management skills.

 

What we’re looking for

As a standout candidate you will have:

  • Proven trade experience - experience in some sort of grounds maintenance or Hygiene/cleaning operations role in the past
  • Willingness to work across varying trades and ability to multitask to achieve operational goals
  • The successful candidate will be paid to undertake Primary Training for Certificate III in Correctional Practice

 

Essential Requirements
 

  • Current Certificate III in any of the following: Horticulture, Agriculture, Landscaping (Parks and Gardens), and/or Cleaning Operations (Or willing to obtain within 12 months – cleaning operations only)
  • Forklift licence is highly desired, however not essential
  • Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframes
  • Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as required
  • General understanding of capabilities around the use of computers and electronic platforms to access relevant departmental programmes and applications
