Employment type – Ongoing 38 Hours
Salary - $98,059.00 + Incidental Allowance, Superannuation and Leave Loading
Your role
We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Trade Overseer to work at our Facilities Maintenance Electrical Business Unit at Wellington Correctional Complex.
What you’ll do
Join an organisation with a rich history where your trade experience is valued. Senior Trade Overseers are trade qualified Correctional Officers with the essential role of supervising inmates and staff in their work-related activities within a correctional centre.
Successful candidates are provided with paid training to undertake Certificate III in Correctional Practice at an allocated Brush Farm Corrective Services Academy training facility.
Provide leadership and mentoring to Overseers and supervise and develop inmates through managing, coaching, instructing, and encouraging them, as members of a team, in order that they may improve their work skills, enhance their post-release employment prospects, and contribute productively to Business Unit objectives.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate III level in the following): Electro Technology Electrician or similar related trades and hold a current electrical supervisors certificate
- Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice in accordance with specified CSNSW timeframes
- Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role
- Must participate in a rotational on-call roster.
